For many adult learners, feedback feels personal. Past educational experiences, low confidence, or fear of failure can turn constructive input into a source of discouragement. The key is helping learners shift their perspective, viewing feedback as essential fuel for growth. In this session, we will explore practical strategies for delivering feedback with empathy, encouraging deep student reflection, and cultivating a growth mindset in which errors are seen as critical stepping stones rather than roadblocks. These approaches are effective whether your students are learning in person, online, or in a blended environment.
Participants will receive actionable resources—including self-assessment tools, goal-setting frameworks, and classroom activities that promote peer feedback and personal growth—designed to transform the feedback experience. You will learn how to cultivate a safe, supportive environment where feedback is trusted, welcomed, and used effectively to drive progress. The ultimate goal is to empower your adult students to build confidence, take true ownership of their educational journey, and maintain long-term motivation.
What you’ll learn:
Acquire tools to reframe feedback as growth opportunities for students.
Learn practical ways to coach learners to master feedback confidently.
Employ techniques to create safe, responsive classrooms where mistakes are seen as learning.
Develop strategies to support learners as they process, apply, and grow from feedback.
Participants who complete the full session will receive a Certificate of Attendance for one hour of Professional Development.
